We are a small enamel studio, where colour is still fired by hand onto metal. To us an enamel piece is more than jewellery: laid and fired by hand, it holds a depth of colour that a printed finish cannot, and it lasts. That is what our work is about.
We work by hand and by kiln. Preparing the metal, laying the enamel, firing colour on colour, finishing, step by step, with patience. It is exacting, absorbing work, and that is where the difference from printed colour lies.
We enjoy colour work and commissions most of all. Firing a piece in a particular colour for someone is the best work there is.
